Kettle Helms, Stormtroopers, Squatkopta, Prussians, MFP and More!

Hello,

It's nice of you to visit.   I have a number of completed minis, to show you.  First up are six Essex Knights in kettle helmets, that I painted for a friend.

Here they are running away.  Painting spiral lance patterns isn't easy.

Fantasy Flight Stormtroopers.

I don't know where I got the head for the helmetless guy's head.

Here are three Warlord brand Prussian Landwehr with pikes.

I like the metal Warlord model backpacks more than the plastic models.

Here is a GW Tau drone, a Squatkopta, and a Brother Vinni robot.  Removing the ork and spikey bits from the kopta thing was an awful task.  I may not make three of these.

It's hard to see, but the squat has a "Gargoyle Gang" emblem on his vest.  Gargoyle gang are the good guys on the classic Johnny Sokko Giant Robot show.

Two Old Glory biker cops, without motorcycles.

Here are two Old Glory motorcycle cops and an Antenocitis Workshop police car.

If you haven't noticed they're painted to look like the "Main Force Patrol" from the Road Warrior film.

Here's a classic Ral Partha Orc and a random post apocalyptic survivor from EM-4.

I think you can get the post apocalyptic Copplestone sculpts for Mirlton too.

Here are two ancient GW dwarf (pre-slotta) models.

The guy on the right is the original "White Dwarf" (FS17, 1980).

Here are three Phalon clone models from the old Spacelords game range.  I think I stole their color scheme from Ironman comics.

You can get the Spacelord models from Moonraker Miniatures.

Here are two Deep Ones.  They are from Black Cat Bases.

I enlarged the wooden floor base with green stuff.

Today everyone posed on another rtv/paint/sand smeared on cloth 4' x 4' mat I made.

Till next time beloved viewers, when I'll have a gang of Ramshackle Squat bikers and jet-bikes.

xoxoxox

Germans, Prussians, Robots, Deep Ones, Space Marines, Minenwerfer, Dacians, Adeptus Mechanicus, and some Walls

Hello Dearest Viewer,

It's been six weeks since I posted anything, but at least this time I'll show you 61 things I finished..

Here are seven little robots.  The hovering things Old Glory drones, much like little flying Fallout robots.

The three bots silently running are from Black Cat Bases.  I put one on a base made out of a circuit board, but it looks stupid.

Speaking of Black Cat Bases, here are eight of their Deep Ones, from their lovely Lovecraft line.

I loved painting these guys and want to paint more.  I know they are very shiney; I gloss coated them because Lovecraft described them as slick or slimey.

The deep ones were posing in front of some walls I made for the soon to be released Fallout Wasteland Warfare.  http://www.modiphius.com/fallout.html

In case a wall gets destroyed, I built a damaged one too.

It's simple cardboard, so I soaked it in glue to make the torn "metal" not move.

Oh dear, someone got caught in the minenwerfer explosion!

Here are some Prussians running around.  (Warlord)

Here they are running back for a thing they forgot.

Some Old Glory small WWI Minenwerfer crews.

Here they are wondering where the Prussians went.

Here's some large Old Glory Minenwerfer's.  I posted the crews in an earlier post.  I love both saying and writing Minenwerfer.                                                Minenwerfer
Minenwerfer

Three more space marines in my quest to paint one of each legion.

Black Templar, Adulator, Dark Angel.

Two Old Glory robots, I love robots.

The blue one is named My Little Minenwerfer.

A Warlord mounted Prussian Landwehr officer and 3 Old Glory Rus swordsmen.

I secretly positioned the Rus at different angles; so you can't tell they're all the same model pose.

Here's a GW Adeptus Mechanicus boss of robots model; next to him is an old Mageknight model with a couple GW parts added.

I spared every cost on the robot, his base is even an old broken one, held together with puppy love.

Four random models.  I have no clue who made the dwarf with a catapult on his back.  The barbarian is an old Citadel model.

I don't know who made the large medic, but he's been conscripted into my IG army.  The little IG guy is one of the worst IG sculpts from the Rogue Trader days.

Here's some random crap I glued to bases.  The brown stone is fossilized dinosaur bone; there must be a dinosaur graveyard buried in my yard.  They're chunks sliced off of larger pieces.

The green rock is a piece of Sonoran sunrise turquoise given to me by  Huitzilopochtli.  (Tournament Gamer secret:  smash several painted models before every battle, as a sacrifice to Huitzilopochtli and you always win; but never invite him to be a house guest (he leaves his socks under the couch and puts cheese in his coffee)).

Almost everyone was posing on this 6' x 4' flexible game mat I made.  It's amazingly flexible and soft.

To make a flexible mat: 1. get a big piece of canvas, 2. mix sand, brown paint and acrylic caulk (min 1 tube per 4 square feet, 3.  put goo on canvas, 4. let dry, 5. dry brush, 6. add flock if you want

Well till next time my beloved Minenwerfers, when I'll have Polish Lancers, Prussians, robots, spacemen and only Huitzilopochtli knows what else.

XOXOXOXO

Love,

Modular Battlestations Ship, Landwehr, Imperial Guard, Space Marine Attack Bikes, Zombies and Robots

Hello Enlightened One,

I thought today, I'd show you some modular Battlestations terrain I was working on.  I quit working on them, because Battlestations 2nd Edition is coming out very soon, with really nice game tiles; it seemed rather pointless.

Here's some scientists discussing science in the science lab.

More hot science action in the warp hyper drive room.

Here's a robot playing Atari Missile Command in one of the missile bays.  The missiles are made out of pens from the banks I rob.

Here's some cute little robots running to a big gun wired to a Nintendo controller.

Here's a couple bots and a human worried about hungry space monster slug cyborgs.

Here's a couple small bots wondering why the blogger is too cheap to buy proper shipping containers and makes barrels out of bottle caps.

What the F are Evil Dead zombies doing under the floor panels?

Here's the Captain and friendly poop alien loafing off on the bridge.  Can the enlightened viewer recognize the grids on the computer screens.

Here's four GW Imperial Guard Steel Legion troops.

Here they are admiring the Epidote rocks they posed in front of.

Here's two Rogue Trader era pirates or guardsmen and an old metal Cadian Sergeant.

"Come on guys, look at this uncommon Epidote formation."

Here's an original Rogue Trader Assault (?) bike and a more modern one, that's a plastic/metal mix.

I forgot the Ultramarine symbols.  The yellow chap in need of touching up is a Flame Eagle.  The gray marine is a Brotherhood of a Thousand marine.  Only 953 chapters left and I'll have at least one of each!

Here's some Warlord Games Prussian Landwehr and a Foundry Frenchmen (I only based the Frenchy).

For the life of me, I can't think of a scenario to use napping Prussians.  Perhaps they were a rather sleepy people.

Here are some Warlord games zombies.  The two decomposing females are older sculpts from the Wargames Factory era.  The guy in the Starbucks Coffee shirt is a Roebeast's Magical House of Sunshine zombie model.

A mix of crawling Warlord/Wargames Factory zombies crawling.

A large Reaper mini that I'm using as a big strong zombie and two Old Glory British trench mortars.

"Ep-i-do-te.....Ep-I-do-te......"

Two Old Glory robots, that I wanted to look kind of worn.  I'm the worst at painting yellow.

You'll notice a lack of grass on bases, because I ran out.

Till next time, when I should have some WW2 Americans, a couple Prussians, LotR dwarves, or whatever catches my fanciful fancy.

Love and Kisses,
Baconfat
