Saxons, Robots, Romans, Survivors, Dogmeat, Junk, and More

Happy Sunday Distinguished Viewer,

I've recently finished painting 33 more little guys.  There's recently been no rhyme or reason behind any of the choices.  I need a project to maintain focus on one type of mini, but I hate projects forcing me to focus.

Here are five Saxons from Renegade Miniatures.   I don't know how many of these stupid shields I've painted, but I know I'm getting lazier in my designs.  I'm glad the Normans destroyed their stupid army as I am tiring of painting their stupid shields.

I wish I had bought shield transfers.   It's too late now I probably have less than sixty left to paint.

Here are three near future combat robots Anvil Industries.  Anvil makes some of the best near future minis and robots which most likely pleases our future robot overlords.

Here's two Norman miniatures from Old Glory.

Looking at the picture, I realized didn't finish painting the yellow shield.  Stupid dumb shield painting.   If I was a medieval lord, my troops would not carry shields. Does anyone make shield transfers for Old Glory Normans?

Here are three post apocalyptic miniatures.   The middle one is from the old Vor game, available from Scotia Grendel.  I think she is called a Junker and works in Scotia Grendel's customers service department, the customer service department that promised (multiple times) to send missing vehicle parts for an order I made, which they never sent.

The outside two are old Copplestone sculpts available from Moonraker, Em4, or Mirliton, and probably more companies. The fat guy is in everyone's post apocalyptic collection.

Three Roman archers from Warlord.   And no shields!

I have three more almost done, that didn't make the photo shoot.

Some old OOP dwarf models from Citadel and Ral Partha.

The Citadel guys were a gift from one of my favorite Grognards, Stan.   The guy on the right doesn't have a stupid shield.

Here's Dogmeat from the Mophidius Fallout Warfare game.  I painted real German Shepherd urine on the model to make it smell authentic.  I won't bore you with hassles involved in collecting urine from a dog you don't own.  And try not to lick your brush if you plan on using my scent method.

He's next to four terrain bits from Mantic's Walking Dead game.  Dogmeat's base looks awful and needs some cleanup.

Here's a rock (I think it's a bone fossil) on a base and two bits of Wizkids D&D scatter terrain.  The book has text from a language I spent seventeen years developing, while I lived in Tibet.

Here's an old GW servitor with a much newer genestealer cult mining laser arm, standing next to a Mageknight fish man thing.   The fishman has crystals on his base, that I collected from a geode I stole from a Temple of Thor, that I later smashed with a hammer, back when I lived in Iceland.

Lastly are three short robots from Denizen miniatures.   I have a few more in the painting que to add to my growing robot horde.  The little bits are quite bendy and the models should only be used by close friends wearing kid gloves, made out of real children.

Till next time, my Beloved, when I'll have more random minis for you, your guess is as good as mine.

Love,
Baconfat

XOXOXOXO

Bikers, Prussians, Imperial Guard, Gondorians, and some Robots

Hello Distinguished Viewer,

I managed to take a few pics of 38 recently completed minis, before my battery died.  First up are two Old Glory bikers.

I tried to paint the DC superhero Flash emblem and a Confederate flag on their shirts.

Here are six GW Catachans.  Five of them are metal.  I realized I need to up the genetic diversity of my Catachan soldiers.

Here's an old OOP metal (plastic arm) Imperial Guardsman and what I believe is a "Navigator".

Here are four Old Glory robots.  They will joining my zombie killing robot army.

Here are six plastic GW Gondorians, based in my heretic fashion.

Here's an Uncle Mike brand deep one hybrid and an OOP metal GW dwarf beserker.

We must never forgive GW for destroying the WFB Old World and making the WFB into a space marines with crossbows skirmish game for dummies.

Here are nine Old Glory (second edition) Prussian Musketeers.

Here they marching back up the hill.

Here's three Warlord metal Prussian Landwehr.  The metals are nicer, more diverse, and slightly smaller than their plastic Landwehr.

And here's where the camera died, after taking a picture of four Warlord Landwehr running down a trail.
Hustle up boys; it's "Taco Tuesday" at the dining facility!!!

Till next time my beloved viewer, when I'll have more random minis that didn't get their souls stolen by my evil camera and more!  There will likely be robots, Prussians, LotR, zombies, WW1 and WW2 goodness.

XOXOXOXOX

Robots, Rus, Revolting Peasants, German Minenwerfer Crew, Old School Dwarves, and More!

Hello Dearest Distinguished Viewers or Accidental Visitors,

I recently finished painting an almost random selection of miniatures and took pictures of them.

First up are seven Old Glory Robots.

I painted the least exciting models first.  I was hoping I could come up with an good paint scheme, before moving on to their more exciting robot poses.  I think they will fit my zombies.

Here are three Old Glory Rus models.

I've got a more almost complete, but their shields aren't done.

Here are eight Old Glory large minenwerfer crew.  I still need to paint the minenwerfers.

Some Old Glory Revolting Peasants.  Their weapons are huge.

Finally something not Old Glory, here are three ancient Grenadier dwarves.

You can still get these models, from Mirlton miniatures.  Mine are sort of beat up from years in a lead pile.

Here are five more.  They'll be great for Dragon Rampant or Chaos Wars.

I really need some of the Bat Riding Dwarves.

Here are two Ral Partha dwarf crossbows and an Grenadier plastic crossbow from the Fantasy Warriors box set.

Here are two more plastic Grenadier dwarves and a bit of scatter scenery.

Here's a Perry plastic British rifleman, a metal Warlord Prussian casualty, and a Warlord plastic Prussian with a Victrix head.

Running away from the icky dead body.

Lastly a Games Workshop plastic Gondorian and a RAFM/Games Workshop Dr. Who Unit model.  I found the Unit guy in the flgs Active Imagination's bit box.

Till next time, when I should have some Prussians, Rus, Robots, and 40K Imperial Guard (Asstro Mili-terrarium).

Love and Kisses,
Baconfat

Dacians, Dwarves, big robot, Mushrooms, Random Terrain, and a Poo Poo Alien

Hello,

I've got a fair number of minis done and ready for viewing.

Here are a few Warlord Games plastic Dacians.  I needed some guys without spear and falx.

The shields paint jobs are actually decals, except the Roman shield which is really painted.

Here are some Old Glory Dacian archers.

Here are four Old Glory Bohemian medieval archers.  I keep finding these guys in my lead pile; I've painted more than the 30 that I bought; no idea why they keeping popping up.

Here are six of the plastic dwarves OOP Grenadier miniatures released in their Fantasy Warriors boxed set game.

Here are two metal Nick Lund Grenadier metal minis and another Dacian archer that missed the earlier pictures.

Here's five of Grenadiers plastic Fantasy Warrior dwarf crossbow troops.

Here are five of the really nice Old Glory Dwarf Wars minis.

A Reaper dungeon loot piece painted like garbage bags and two resin bed things of unknown manufacture.

Here's a repainted MechWarrior plastic robot thing and a mini that I sculpted that was supposed to be a Battlestations Silicoid.  It looks like a poop.

I also made some giant mushrooms out of Sculpy bake clay.

Mushrooms are disgusting with those valve things underneath.

Here are four mini-obelisk things I scraped out of foam.  They might be good plot points for Pulp Alley or Strange Aeons terrain.

I knocked out another middle east/colonial era terrain piece.

Made a few tiny Poke-balls.  They are completely useless versus zombies.

Here's a sneak peek of a space ship that I've been making for the Battlestations board game.

Till next time, when I'll probably have post apocalyptic bikers, space ship corridors, and who knows what.

Love and Kisses,
Baconfat
